Although there is no specific biography of my ancestor, whom I believe to be John Vester Peebles, I am including this information so that others may make a connection. This may be a totally different line of Peebles from mine, but if it helps someone else then I'll be happy.

He married about 1662, in Virginia to Judith (?). William Peebles died before 1695 in Prince George County, Virginia. His son was:
William Peebles II, born before 1670, in Prince George County. He married (?) Hamilin. William Peebles II died October 12, 1727, in Prince Goerge County. His son was:
John Peebles, born before 1708, in Prince George County. He married Elizabeth Clark, daughter of Samuel Clark. John Peebles died before 1772, in Virginia. His son was:

John Vester Peebles - born May 13, 1822, in Wake County. He married (1) about 1847, in Pickens County to Mary C. Woolfolk; (2) September 8, 1865, in Pickens County to Louisa Frances Hood. John Vester Peebles died January 14, 1871, and was buried in Mitchell Cemetery.
